Stress Management and You

Stress management? Well, It can be easily done fast.

What Stress is: A feeling of emotional or physical tension or pressure, making you feel frustrated, upset, angry or nervous. Your stress is generated out of the circumstances you have. Your stress can be anything that puts high demand or threat on you, be it your job, education, or relationship. Actually speaking, stress is one of the natural reflex actions you have. It's the signal for you to avoid danger or meet a deadline. But when you give extra focus on stress, things get complicated. The Chronic stress is common in today's fast paced World. You get stressful from different sources and the source can generally be divided into two.

a) Intrapersonal Stress: It's the stress you feel when the factors within you cause stress. It's occurring in your mind. It's the emotional stress you have.

b) Interpersonal Stress: It's the stress you feel from the people around you. It's the stressful episodes you have that involve negative attitude, quarrel, clash, negative behavior etc.

A chemical reaction: You are stressful when the stress hormones like Cortisol and Adrenaline are released into your body. It's an emergency action signal you are given. Your heart pounds faster, muscles tighten, blood pressure rises, breath quickens, making you either fight or flee from the danger, pressure or threat. It's your automatic, defensive mechanism.

How you are affected: When you give extra focus on the stressful life, it becomes Chronic Stress. Chronic Stress damages your Mitochondria, the powerhouse of your body. It weakens the immune system and upsets the digestive system. It increases the risk of heart attack and stroke and speeds up the aging process. Stress rewires your brain, leaving you more vulnerable to depression and mental illness. It can adversely affect your thinking and memory. It causes the physical symptoms like aches and pains, diarrhea or constipation, nausea, dizziness, weight loss, chest pain, frequent cold and even the loss of sex drive. Besides all these, Chronic Stress causes a lot of cognitive issues like negative energy, memory loss, and worry, emotional issues like anxiety, agitation and unhappiness and behavioral issues like biting nails, eating more or less, sleeping more or less, getting addicted to alcohol, cigarettes, and drugs. It also makes you withdraw from others and wears you out.

How it can be managed: It's pretty easy if you are focused. Follow the steps below. Do it today itself. Try to get your life more organized. Change your attitude and outlook. Know that you are the builder of your reality and you can change it always. Never get focused more on your circumstances, which always leaves you stressful. Maintain a healthy diet, because bad food habits can make you stressful. Keep time management and make some time for yourself to get engaged in stress relieving activities like listening to some music or going for a walk. It is recommended that you have to start your day, listening to your favorite, uplifting music as it leaves its magnetic effects inside, making your day. Singing is the best practice with which you can release the pent up emotions inside. It's the magic of sound.
